Protal FR Presentation

Invitation to - Industrial Workwear Seminar for Heat and Flame Hazards
Waxman Fibres are hosting a series of open day seminars in September aimed to bring Health and Safety Specifiers, Procurement Personnel and Wearers of PPE fully up to date with the latest developments in Industrial Workwear for Heat, Flame and Arc hazards. The seminar is designed for people who work in Petrochemical, Gas, Electricity, Utilities and Power Generation Industries.
Participants will find out what the latest generation Protal garments are and why we use Protex fibre in technical blends. We will discuss Flash fire protection, Electric arc compliance and give an update on the latest test standards and their relationship to the PPE Directive. Seminars will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of September 2013 at Waxman’s headquarters in West Yorkshire.
Phil Briggs, from Waxman’s technical team, explains:
“This is a great opportunity for anybody involved in Health and Safety or Procurement to come and listen to what our next generation Protal garments can offer. In addition we will explain the concepts of flash fire protection and the minefield that is Electric arc compliance.
The seminars are completely free of charge and it is an ideal opportunity not only to listen but also ask questions on heat and flame hazards.
It is an occasion for people to see the latest development in FR fabrics including new products that are designed specifically for Flash Fire, Electric arc protection, EN471 Orange and GO/RT.
At Waxman we have many videos of Flash Fire and Electric Arc tests for you to view. We will explain the criteria needed to pass these standards and their relationship to real life scenarios, as well as looking at future trends in compliance.
In addition to the seminar, Waxman’s UK Partnership of garment manufacturers will display the latest advances of Protal garments , which are available through the usual distribution routes. There will be plenty of opportunity to view the latest garment designs, ask questions, discuss standards and to network.”
